We are a company that distributes excise goods such as alcohol and tobacco and are already established in Curaçao, outside the Free Economic Zone.
We want to establish a storage, warehousing and distribution company in the Free Economic Zone in which our goal is to provide inventory and delivery services to international clients (outside of Curaçao) to ensure that all of our clients’ needs are met. We wanted to ensure our clients that they get a focused warehouse solution and years of industry expertise that will streamline their supply system.
With all this in mind, we were particular in obtaining a larger unit to be able to cater to our needs as a company.
We filled up an application form from the Curinde website accompanied by 2 bank references and 2 commercial references. We signed a rental agreement after we were granted an E-zone license as well as its incentives. A Curinde representative provided us with a tour of the facilities and presented us with options based on our requirements.
According to the E-zone law, it is a requirement to incorporate a new company specifically for the Free Economic Zone and because we deal with excise goods, there are some conditions that the E-zone company will need to adhere to in regards to storage. One of the Curinde representatives provided us with instructions and after following these thoroughly, we are now established as a new company in the Free Economic Zone.
