We are an up and coming artisanal coffee company that wanted to establish in a business park managed by Curinde.

With the goal of monopolizing supplies to Curaçao's top coffee shops/cafes, we wanted to focus and target our sales and only sell to the Curaçao local market.

We filled out an application form from the Curinde website accompanied by 2 bank references and 2 commercial references and then signed a rental agreement.

Curinde representatives advised us to establish in the Industrial Park where the E-zone law requirements don't apply. We were told that the Free Economic Zones are regulated by the E-zone law, therefore exporting our products would have been a requirement.

We established in the Industrial Park where there is 24/7 security. We were informed by Curinde that we may apply to receive incentives while being in the Industrial Park. The application for tax holiday incentives must be submitted directly to the government of Curaçao by our company but the Curinde representatives advised us on the process. Because we established in the Industrial Park, there were no E-zone law requirements to adhere to and no E-zone license required from us.
