Curinde is a one-stop-shop for trade and development.
Businesses that wish to operate in the Free Economic Zone must open a bank account. Curinde can advise on the best bank and notary office to support your business.
Businesses with activities that consist of exporting (outside of Curaçao) are recommended to establish in one of the two Free Economic Zones, while businesses interested in servicing exclusively the local Curaçao market are recommended to establish in the Industrial Park.
Bank or commercial references can originate worldwide.
Depending on the activity, companies established in the Free (Economic) Zones may be eligible for a profit tax of 0%, 3% or 22% (the latter being the normal profit tax in Curaçao). Curinde will guide you through the process.
Curinde's professionals can refer you to the relevant experts.
Having a local partner in order to operate in the Free Economic Zone is not a requirement as long as the company director intends to reside in Curaçao. If the company director is based elsewhere, then a local director must be appointed in the form of a Curaçao passport holder or legal entity of Curaçao.
Non-residents or tourists are permitted to enter the Harbor Free Economic Zone as visitors or wholesale shoppers. Present your passport in order to obtain a complimentary entry pass.
The Harbor Free (Economic) Zone opening hours:
Mondays through Fridays: 07:30 - 22:00 hours
On Saturdays: 09:00 - 18:00 hours
On Sundays: 10:00 - 18:00 hours
Hours may vary during holidays.
Curinde will assist companies interested to establish, free of charge, throughout the establishment process in one of our business parks.
